What is Fat Freezing?

Freezing fat, known medically as cryolipolysis, is one of the hottest trends in noninvasive body sculpting — that is, losing pockets of fat without needles, knives, or real downtime.

How does Biosculpt Fat Freezing work?

Scientists came up with the idea for cryolipolysis by studying what happens to fat during frostbite. Fat freezes at a higher temperature than skin. The cryolipolysis device cools your fat to a temperature that destroys it while leaving your skin and other tissues unharmed.

Who is a candidate for Biosculpt Fat Freezing?

Cryolipolysis isn’t a way to lose weight. If you’ve tried diet and exercise and haven’t been able to get rid of certain fat bulges fat-freezing could be an option.

What does Fat Freezing feel like?

When the Fat Freezing device is applied to your body, you will feel a strong vacuum pressure as the Fat Freezing applicator draws your fat tissue into the device. This may feel a little bit tight, pinchy and tingly to start with. It shouldn’t be painful, more like a mild pinching sensation. Then you will feel intense cold followed by numbnes.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no recovery time after a fat freezing procedure. Most people are approved to resume normal day-to-day activity immediately after. In some cases, some minor redness or soreness may occur in the area treated, but all minor side effects typically subside within a few weeks.

When will I see results?

Whilst some people see instant results, fat freezing is not an instant, one stop treatment. Unlike liposuction, your body has to naturally dispose of it’s own fat cells, and this can take up to 12 weeks after treatment, so you’ll see more changes as time goes on. It will differ from person to person, but we recommend four treatments to guarantee the full effects.

How long does it last?

The results are permanent, and the dead fat cells won’t grow again. However, it’s important to remember that fat freezing doesn’t stop you from regaining new weight in the future, so to avoid disappointment it’s important to pair fat freezing treatments with a healthy lifestyle.

Are there any side effects?

Typical side effects after the procedure include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, and pain. For a few hours after the applicator is removed, many people do experience redness in the treated area. In rare cases, this redness may persist for a few days, up to 2 weeks, but it will completely resolve itself.
